Just some quick thoughts:
-
While I think the borderless idea is a really cool one and has a lot of potential, I am skeptical to making it the “thing” we do with Namada rn, as it’s built on cctp and thus limited only to usdc. If we use a usdc-only solution as a main vehicle to demonstrate that Namada has a product use case, I think we may miss the mark, as the strength of Namada in my view is the ability to shield *anything*, not just usdc.
-
I think the polaris integration and other networks’ integrations have a lot more promise with regards to demonstrating pmf for Namada. (again I’m not saying borderless is not very promising in its own right, but I worry if we make it the main usecase for Namada - I think it has more potential as a separate product offering - an “extra”, and a really great one at that)

I am tentatively skeptical to reducing shielding rewards for all other tokens than usdc, for similar reasons. I am inherently in favor of reconsidering shielding rewards in its entirety, but also I think we have a tendency to switch tracks a bit too often. Having a plan and going with it longterm I think would be a plus.

About PGF spending historically, I think a lot of that has bee targeted/strategic and well spent. I hope we will continue to reward meaningful community contributors. (while absolutely in favor of winding down a lot of the community infra)
