Refining the Grants and Community Governance Process

With Namada still in the development phase (85% complete) and not yet having launched its mainnet, the primary goals for Season 1 include:

1. Creating a more efficient and consistent process for proposers
2. Establishing a regular pace for grant distributions
3. Defining a clear scope
4. Creating accountability through smaller grant sizes and milestone-based distributions
5. Reducing the workload on delegates so they can focus on high-impact votes

The Solution I Believe is Important and Should be Implemented:
Namada will implement a Grants Council consisting of 1 Lead and 8 Reviewers:

  • 3 Elected Delegates for the Builders Sub-Committee
  • 5 for the Growth Experiments Sub-Committee

This council will have full authority in deciding which grants will be awarded.

Grants Council Structure

If approved, there will be 1 Council consisting of 2 sub-committees. Each sub-committee will have a clear mandate and be tied to specific grant objectives. Sub-committees will be encouraged to create RFPs (Requests for Proposals) to incentivize grant applications that align with the objectives.

thank you if this post can advance to the next stage, let me continue and make a more complete proposal
