Namada Contributors and Contributions

Hello Community,

As we approach the mainnet launch, I’d like to take a moment to express gratitude to everyone who has contributed to building the Namada network. Whether you’ve worked on technical development, community engagement, research, or any other area, your efforts have been essential in bringing our ecosystem to life. Thank you for your dedication and passion! :heart_on_fire:

Introducing the Recording of Contributors and Contributions

To recognize and celebrate all the incredible efforts within the Namada ecosystem, we’re introducing a process to record both contributors and their contributions. This initiative will ensure that your work is not only acknowledged but also becomes part of a structured system to help strengthen and grow the community.

How You Can Help

To make this vision a reality, we need your participation.
Your input is invaluable in building a transparent and collaborative future for Namada.
Please take a moment to fill out the following forms:

  • Namada Contributor Form
Use this form to share your profile, including your contact information, skill set, and how you’re involved in the network.
  • Namada Contribution Form
Use this form to document your major contributions to the Namada ecosystem. Instead of listing every small participation, focus on the key contributions that stand out or are part of significant efforts within the project.

Feedback: As you participate, it would be helpful to know what your experience has been and how it could be improved.

Please ensure your records are clear, concise, and impactful.
Here are some examples to illustrate the right approach:

  • If you provide Infrastructure Services, such as seed nodes, RPC endpoints, or snapshots, avoid creating a separate record for each service. Instead, submit one comprehensive “Infrastructure Services” record, including a detailed description of all the services you provide.
  • If you offer Communication Support on platforms like X, don’t create a record for every individual tweet. Instead, share details about the dedicated account you’ve managed and its purpose within the ecosystem.

Why Recording Contributions Matters

By recording contributors and their contributions:

  • We build transparency, creating a clear record of the incredible work being done.
  • We foster collaboration, helping connect contributors with complementary skills and shared goals.
  • We recognize contributions, ensuring that efforts are seen and celebrated.
  • We strengthen our community, showcasing the breadth of talent and energy in Namada.

The Vision for Contributor and Contribution Tracking

The recording process is just the beginning. Here’s the strategy we’re working toward:

  1. Data Hosting and Accessibility: All collected data will be soon hosted on GitHub in JSON format, creating a transparent and accessible database.
  2. Front-End Interface: We envision a user-friendly interface that allows everyone to easily view and recognize contributor participation, making it simple to explore and understand the scope of contributions in the ecosystem. To bring this vision to life, the JSON files will be publicly available on GitHub, offering an opportunity for anyone in the community who’s interested to contribute to building such an interface.
  3. Decentralization & Custom Forms Development: As we optimize, we aim to create a custom made interface to decentralize the forms themselves, ensuring even greater alignment with Namada’s values.
  4. Recording Enhancements: In V2 of the custom form interfaces, we’d love to incorporate wallet-based user authentication. This would allow contributors to update or modify their information and contributions securely and seamlessly.

These steps will help us create a dynamic, evolving system that grows alongside the Namada community.

Moving Forward Together

As we approach the mainnet launch, I’m filled with excitement about the future. This milestone isn’t just about technology, it’s about people coming together to build something meaningful.

Looking forward to receiving your feedback on the shared vision, as well as your profile and contribution records.

Thank you again for being part of this journey. Together, we’re stronger and unstoppable :muscle::rocket:
